Position Summary:
Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Mission Planner working within the 16AF/J35 Directorate. This position is located at Lackland AFB, TX and is part of a large program supporting Air Combat Command’s (ACC) Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission. Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a Polygraph.
Responsibilities:
Serve as an Information Warfare (IW) and ISR Plans and Capabilities Analyst within 16AF/A8. Member will provide assistance to integrate and converge new and existing IW and ISR capabilities (including concepts, plans, and strategies) to enable the mission success of 16AF operations. The member will also conduct technical research, analysis, and advisory of potential IW technological solutions to meet current and future capability requirements. This scope will apply to subordinate wings including activities supporting the 480 ISRW (DCGS), 363 ISRW mission capabilities (support to SOF) and 70 ISRW. The member will advise and assist with challenges concerning operational integration of capabilities across 16AF, organizational design and force structure, collaborative processes and procedures, tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs), and capability sustainment issues. In addition, the member will apply Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge to issues impacting ISR Support to Special Operations Forces (SOF), as well as provide oversight, continuity, innovative solutions, and advocacy on operational issues impacting the subordinate wings. Furthermore, the member will effectively carry out their mission areas to provide oversight and guidance to CONOPS, program development, named operations and exercise activities. Member must possess a thorough understanding of ISR support to SOF mission operations to include supported AFSOC airborne platforms and SIGINT collection systems.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience providing ISR/IW support to DoD operations
- Experience with IW operational systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Designs, develops, and applies a variety of decision analytics, mathematical and statistical techniques, data mining, modeling and simulation, and other analytic methods combined with military and / or IC judgment to address operational and planning challenges to facilitate senior leadership decisions. Provides unique, and timely analysis on a range of pressing, operationally focused issues using multi-source data in the context of inter-disciplinary techniques and methods.
- Required Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
- Required Education: Master’s degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or have a bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years of related expert experience, for a total of 20 years, as a substitute to the master’s degree.

- Previous assignments/work in Airborne Cryptologic Operations in support of SOF Operations Planning, Targeting or DCGS Operations
- 363 ISRW Operations Readiness and Integration SME, Capabilities and Operational Needs Assessments supporting the ACC ISR enterprise
- Additional years of experience.
